Is Most of SEO Just A Boondoggle?
I’ve been waiting for spot to mention an article Jill Whalen posted a couple of months ago on search engine land named “Is Most Of SEO Just A Boondoggle?”
In the article Jill talks about useless SEO tactics that many SEO’s advise clients to pay for, such as:
- PageRank sculpting
- “Fixing” Meta keywords tags
- Submitting URLs to search engines
- Creating XML sitemaps
- Insisting on H1 tags
- Rewriting URLs because they don’t have keywords in them
She also discuses what are worthy SEO tasks that do indeed make a difference.
