Google can now index Flash files: SEO for Flash
In June Abode announced that they provided Flash Player technology to booth Google and Yahoo that will allow them to better index Flash files. Here’s some links to posts about what can and can’t be indexed so far, as well as some initial “best practices”.
Google announced its new Flash indexing algorithm on its Webmaster Central Blog. They officially announced that they have been developing a new algorithm for indexing textual content in Flash files of all kinds, from Flash menus, buttons and banners, to self-contained Flash websites.
Google then published a post at the Webmaster Central Blog on “Improved Flash indexing” it’s a Q&A about the new Google Flash indexing capabilities from their software engineers. They talk about what Google can and cannot index within Flash files.
